Objectives Of HIRARC Assesment

  • Identify hazards associated with workplace activities and processes
  • Assess and evaluate the level of risk for each identified hazard
  • Determine appropriate control measures to reduce or eliminate workplace risks
  • Prioritise significant risks requiring immediate attention and corrective action
  • Promote a safer working environment and reduce the likelihood of workplace accidents and injuries


This Guideline is supposed to provide guidance on methodology of conducting HIRARC, it should be simple enough to be used by small and medium industries and should be versatile enough to be used by all in various economic sectors, either in the manufacturing sector, construction sectors or any other economic sectors.
